Originally founded in 1965, Troop 98 has been giving young men (ages 11-17) in the Bridgeton area the opportunity to go on adventures, become better citizens, and serve their community, for over 56 years. In 2019, the Boy Scouts of America organization (BSA) decided to open up the Boy Scout program to girls, allowing young women to be able to share in these opportunities, including being able to earn the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. In doing so, the Boy Scout Program was rebranded Scouts BSA to be more inclusive. While the program is now open to girls, youth protection guidelines, and BSA policy, do require that boys and girls be in separate troops, so we are still a Boys only troop, however there are girl's troops currently in our area. See the "Get Involved" section below for more info on how to find girls troops and other scouting programs in your area.
